Andy Zaletel Leads AWWA Training Sessions 
(February 19, 2008. Crystal Lake, IL) Andrew E. Zaletel, manager of Baxter & Woodman, Inc.’s Geographic Information System (GIS) department, is leading a series of training seminars for members of the Illinois Section of the American Water Works Association.
“GIS Implementation for Water System Optimization” will demonstrate the process and key components of implementing and utilizing GIS for water system analysis. The seminars will pay particular attention to utilizing organizations’ existing information, as well as outline the available options for additional data creation through Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and field based data collection methods. Mr. Zaletel leads the planning, design, and implementation of GIS and GPS-based services for public sector clients, including data analysis and conversion, custom application development, web-based GIS solutions, infrastructure system surveys and educational workshop presentations and trainings. Mr. Zaletel also teaches Introduction to GIS and GPS Technologies for the College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL. Mr. Zaletel earned a bachelor's degree in Biology - Ecology from Winona State University, and a Masters degree in Resource Analysis and GIS from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.
