Baxter & Woodman Promotions Announced

(May 1, 2008. Crystal Lake, IL) The recent restructuring of Baxter & Woodman, Inc.’s Transportation Group included several staff promotions. Louis D. Haussmann, PE, PTOE was named Transportation Group Leader. Mr. Haussmann earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and joined the firm in 1996. “Lou has managed projects in all areas of the transportation group and is well suited for the expanded responsibilities of this position,” said Darrel R. Gavle, President & CEO. Mr. Haussmann is based out of the firm’s Mokena, Illinois, office.


Jason J. Fluhr, PE, PTOE was named as Transportation Municipal Projects Department Manager. Mr. Fluhr earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University, and joined Baxter & Woodman in 1999. He has worked under Mr. Haussmann for a number of years and has managed federally, state and locally funded projects. Mr. Fluhr is based out of the Crystal Lake, Illinois, office.


Daniel C. Durig, PE was named Wisconsin State Highway Department Manager. This is a newly created department under the firm’s Transportation Group. Mr. Durig earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Bringing 20 years of experience, he joined Baxter & Woodman in 2007. Mr. Durig is based out of the Madison, Wisconsin, office.
